The time is right, the stars have aligned and I’m getting back in the saddle. My life often moves me in many directions at once – I’m bound to lose focus. Luckily, the path I am on is leading me back to you – my loves!
Of course not much has changed since we last ‘spoke’. My hair is still ever-changing along with my style, I am still terrible at grammar and spelling, and I’m still a little crazy. So all in all we are back to normal. Like those best friends that can go months without talking and then pick back up right where they left off. That’s us.

I feel like my slip dress from my DIY yesterday, needed a little more exposure. So greeting’s from my slip dress to you all!
The thing about a slip dress is that it’s very versatile. Not only can you rock it as an I-don’t-care-cool type of holiday dress (as I have it styled here with my cute little seamless romper) but you can do just the opposite – and wear it as – you guessed it – a slip. So go ahead – get your dang layering on girlfriend! My favorite is pairing it with a cool denim jean and throwing cozy knit over top.
How do you style your slip dresses?
Beanie – H&M // Shake It Beach Pullover – Free People // Super Flare Cord – Free People // Chelsea Boots – Urban Outfitters
Since being posted up in my office now for weeks working on Shh! Maker Design, I honestly hadn’t notice that the leaves changed colors. Yes Arizona seasons are so weird. Here it is, the beginning of December and today’s high is 82 degrees. (Which is actually really warm – the rest of the week is in the 70’s & 60’s) Although I will most likely not be experiencing this amazing weather we are having because – I gots works to dos! Speaking of which, if there are any designs you would like to see up on the Etsy shop lemme know!
OH PS: These cords are the most soft – best pants ever. Yup!
Free People Fairytale Crochet Maxi – Free People // Converse – Nordstrom
I love adding subtle classic American touches to my style. Here, the touch being the contrast between my crocheted dress and beat-up cons, not the ginormous flag. Although I suppose sporting an American flag around would also do the trick, but by no means would it be subtle.
Now, not only do I love adding classic American touches to my style, I enjoy adding to my style in general…and by adding to my style, I mean wardrobe…and by adding to my wardrobe, I mean adding more dresses like the one I’m wearing above…And by adding more dresses…actually no, I’m done with that statement and awful run-on sentence. Although I will never be done with wardrobe additions. A girl never is.

My advice…listen to French music and cut your own bangs.
Vintage Dress – Butter Toast // Thigh High Socks & Chelsea Boots – Urban Outfitters // Harold Meitl Rings – GROWop
I finally got some thrifting out of my system last weekend, although it’s never enough. Of course there is that one item you almost purchase, but then for some stupid, STUPID reason you put back. And then it happens. It starts to haunt your ever thought. This can go on for days in some cases. You begin to hear the soft voices of the forgotten. “Amanda, why didn’t you buy me. I’m lonely and oh so cold.” -Orphaned Boots. It’s a sad time, but it will pass. It always does. Sigh.

Halloweeennnie! It’s almost here!
Halloween has to be one of my favorite holidays! The weather is amazing, but what’s even better is pumpkin flavored…EVERYTHING! Pumpkin ice cream, pumpkin cheesecake, pumpkin coffee…I could go on, but fear that I’m starting to sound like Bubba from Forrest Gump describing all the ways to prepare shrimp.
Moral of the story, I love fall, pumpkins, and of course my handsome hubby. Yes, I love him more than pumpkins. Although it might not seem that way from this post. ;)

Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah it was in the 80’s yesterday. The temps even dropped down into the 70’s during the evening hours and my boiling Arizona blood was a tad bit chilly. It was such a joyous occasion I got the chance to whip out another score from Brooklyn Industries; this amazing oversize houndstooth printed wool sweater. I can’t even stand how it amazingly matches these blue mirrored sunglasses I got earlier this year. Just kidding, I can stand it.
I really had you guys going there for a minute – huh? I really tricked you. Okay-okay if you are forcing me, I kind of LOVE matchy-matching.
When I was in grade school I was also a real creep about matching. I had this every other type rule. It would go like this for example; white Keds, pink socks, white jeans, pink top, white headband. Oh-my-god and if there was a belt in the mix, well that threw everything off. Luckily that isn’t the case these days, my OCD issues have moved on to bigger and better things. Like, the order in which one must clean a home. Let me just tell you, dusting is the last step okay. OKAY! ;)
Until next time.
P.S. Above knuckle rings for the win! FTW I say!

Fall is in the air, I can feel it! And by feel it I mean I can feel that it isn’t 116 degrees outside. It’s more like 100. It’s even going to get below 100 this week and by my definition…that means it’s fall.
I’m so excited to start getting all my comfy knits and fall pieces out of hiding soon. Of course I’ll need to add to my collection. Oops I may have already started…with my new cross-over bag. The tan vegan leather is perfect color for fall and I think the pony hair accent really gives it some warmth. Not to mention the gunmetal findings that gives the bag that edge I always need.
What items are on you fall must have list?
Oh I guess I should also mention something about my hair huh?! The purple has been fading out, so I decided to mix up a new greenish-teal color concoction. I’ll give that a go for a while. Love? I think I was a mermaid in a past life. I can’t get enough of these pastel hair hues.
One of Each Bracelet Stack – Ettika // Tied Gray Tank – Urban Outfitters // BDG Cigarette High-Rise Jean in Plum – Urban Outfitters
I have teamed up with Ettika to style this lovely ‘stack’ of bracelets. I chose different hues in the purple/lavender family to complement my hair and represent One of Each.
They have pretty much any ‘friendship-chic-bracelet’ you could think of. The stack featured in my post will be called ‘One of Each’ Stack and will be available on the site soon. Time to get you arm party on!
