Beauty: Extended Lengths

Hair Extension Tutorial - One of Each Blog

Hello loves! I have always promised hair tutorials for you guys…and BAM! Here is my first one. Awe good old clip in hair extensions. Next time I’ll show you guys how I curl my hair, and some fun braids will be coming up too. Let me know if you guys have any questions!

STEP 1: Start out with dry straight hair and have your extensions ready. *Note brand new hair is extremely silly and smooth. So unless you hair is the same texture, I would HIGHLY recommend washing them first. I use Redken shampoo and conditioner. This makes them a bit more natural feeling and easier to style.
Also, I use 2 packs of hair.

STEP 2: Put your hair up on the top of your head, and pull down about a 1 in section of hair. Spray hair at the part with hairspray.

STEP 3: Tease section of hair with a rat tail comb. This will help the extension clip have something to grasp onto.

STEP 4: Grab one of your extension wefts. I normally start with a smaller one.

STEP 5: Hold weft up to the part, and center it. Then starting with the middle snap, clip extension into place.

STEP 6: Continue these steps until you reach the top half of your head. *see photo. This is the order I place extensions, from the bottom up. Small, small, long, long, small. (All with 3 clips)

STEP 7: Part hair on the side, and clip in the very small wefts. The ones that only have 1 clip. Repeat on other side.

STEP 8: Marvel at you new lovely locks!

Woah! I drank some special elixir over the weekend and POOF! Long hair! Ok ok fine, we all know I have a thing for hair extensions. Which they are. Lemme tell you though, these extensions have been a nightmare to deal with. When I bought them, they didn’t quite match my real hair* (*hair growing from my head, not naturally hair color of course) They where a bit yellow, so I thought to myself. Well I’ll just slap some purple shampoo on these babies and that will do the trick. It always takes the yellow out of my own hair*. Well that was a mistake. A barney the purple dinosaur colored mistake. So after a few clarifying shampoo treatments and then finally a bleach session they finally match. And here they are in all their glory! lol

Well enough about da hairz. It’s finally officially summer. Even though it’s been above 90 degrees for the past few months here in AZ, it is actually starting to feel like it now. Nothing says summer more then cute cut-off denim shorts and neon colors. I think that’s basically going to be my summer uniform.

It’s been far too long

Hello my people! How have you been? I’d love to hear what everyone has been up to over the past few months. I can’t believe how long I’ve been gone. Sorry to leave you guys hanging.
Basically the past months for me have been filled with change and reinvention. Change that touches every aspect of my life. My appearance on a external and internal level, my mind in the way I perceive the world and how I am perceived, and finally my physical location. So will out being all hippy dippy. I bleached my hair blonde. I did something called the 30dayPUSH and got my body and my mind back in shape. Oh and I moved into a house. (pictures to follow)
Even with all of that going on, I couldn’t leave all social media behind. I tried to keep up on Instagram. These are just a few random pics.
1. My new blonde hair
3. My lovely new bedroom
4. The view from the mountain…that’s basically in my backyard.

Wait… can my appearance be on an internal level. Sounds weird but I think it can.

Love you guys, more to come soon! I PROMISE! <3

Although this may be an old trend for some, I’m in LOVE with dye dipped hair. I currently have teal in mine, but it’s fast fading. I used manic panic color, which I heard doesn’t last long, but is really vibrant at first. True and true. It also didn’t stain my skin. Not looking like a smurf is always a plus. Some may disagree I suppose.
I’m thinking of adding some violet soon. What do you think?
