Hello loves…Oh my lawd do I have a lot to talk about. First of all, I am going to New York in T-minus 8 days, for fashion week. EEEK! More importantly I am going to Wisconsin in T-minus 4 days, to see my bestest friends in the whole wide world Courtney and Kelsey. (You too Danno!)
Ok so lets talk NYFW…I am fairly nervous about this whole situation for the following reasons. 1. I am a little crazy, and anxiety ridden. 2. I am going into the big city all by my lonesome. 3. I’m flying a red-eye and I’m worried I won’t get enough beauty rest.(Amanda with no sleep=hot cranky mess) 4. After buying all the shoes and clothes I needed, I couldn’t afford the metallic Alexander Wang clutch I want so desperately.
I also have several reasons why I am excited to go… 1. I am attending the Independent Fashion Bloggers Conference on the 7th, The Bloggers night Out party on the 9th, and several other meet ups. 2. I get to take pictures of beautiful people. 3. I get to go to that store Obsucra (from the show Oddities, on the science channel)
Now Wisconsin. I am only excited about this trip and not nervous at all! Well scratch that…the last time I flew, when the plane was descending, something happened in my face. It pretty much felt like my eye and or face was going to burst open and my skin was burning off. SWEET!!! Let’s hope that doesn’t happen.
Things I am super excited about though include. 1.Poking Courtney in the boob.(A long tradition that I’m keeping around) 2. Poking a cows utter. 3. Taking pictures of cows and the farm. 4. Seeing the new house. 5. Using cats and cocking them like rifles. 6. Eating cheese.
Ok well that’s pretty much all my big news. I was going to play Melpo Mene for Tuesday Tuneday…(as seen in above picture noted on my arm. I try to camouflage notes with my tattoo that way) BUT I came to realize I don’t have that on my computer. So I guess you’ll have to scroll down to see what Tuneday has in store for you.
OH one last thing. Don’t forget to scroll down to my GIVEAWAY!!!! Today is the last day to enter, and I will be choosing at random a winner tomorrow morning!

Oh you know, just strolling through the desert. Enjoy! Happy Monday!
Last month I had the chance to do a photo shoot with the fabulous husband and wife photography duo, We are the Rhoads. I traveled south to Tucson, and meet with the cute couple at the Congress Hotel. It was a fun shoot, really chill and with good folk. I even got to sneak some GEMEG Jewelry pieces in. 😉 We walked around Tucson and wandered into some different stores. My fav pit stop was this diner that served tater-tots. It was great. I can’t say I have ever done a photo shoot where I got to consume a huge chocolate milkshake and tater-tots. Mmm.
Check out more of the Rhoads here, or peek their blog here.
The launch of GEMEG couldn’t be going better. I’ve been getting nothing but positive feedback and it feels great. Style Stomper, a blog celebrating person style and fashion, featured GEMEG Jewelry yesterday! Style Stomper is run by, another lady of the sun, Lindsey Reisack. She has a great twist on fashion, and has an amazing sunglasses line called, Redeux. (I have a pair of the Abracadabra’s, they rock!) Definitely go check her out!
Wow! Check it out! Yesterday the lovely Angela from SeeSaw Designs featured GEMEG Jewelry on the seesaw. blog! Pretty cool if I do say so myself. If you haven’t checked out SeeSaw, you should. Not only do they have a super inspiring blog, but they make really cute letterpress/paper goods.
As for yesterday, I sold two pieces already! Amazing. I would say it was a pretty successful launch! LOVE you guys! (This post is all about the exclamation point! The period gets all the attention.)
I thought I would give a “personal style” post a go. This shoot consisted of me being ready for work, and forcing my husband to quick take pictures of me outside of our apartment. I will say this, the maintenance men where giving me quit the stare! …Because I look SO cool, not because to them I might have looked mildly ridiculous. So I apologies for the not so fabulous pics.
Any-who, this is what I’ve got going on. Thrifted sunglasses, UO top and stockings, H&M pants, Jeffery Campbell heels, Marc Jacobs bag, and the most important of all GEMEG jewelry. Which will be available for purchase very very soon, so don’t get your panties in a buddle.
Hugs & Kisses
I love triangles. I have some creepy thing for ALL geometric shape, especially ones that involve triangles. I also get creepy about turquoise. That’s why I’m kinda obsessed with the first picture of the Aaron Moran’s assemblage piece. Could you picture a potted cactus sitting next to that bad boy on a parsons table? Oofta, good stuff!
The last piece I left you with is a newly crafted necklace for GEMEG Jewelry. It’s definitely one of my favorite pieces from my collection. Many of the pieces revolve around the triangle shape. (How many times can I say pieces in one post?) Reese’s pieces. 6

Welcome to One of Each Blog, a daily blog dedicated to fashion, art, cuisine, interior design, jewelry, photography, weddings, music…(deep breath)…and a whole lot more. One of Each is actually derived from the phrase von ove ichie, which I made up, and commonly say in an Italian accent when looking over a restaurant menu. “I’ll have von ove ichie.” I found it to also be perfectly fitting for this blog, but came to the conclusion that one of each would be more easily remembered.
One of Each is run by myself, Amanda Shoemaker, self proclaimed master of crafting, fashion connoisseur, and blog addict. When I’m not perusing blogs for inspiration, I’m busy getting my Art Director nerd on at Broken Bulb Studios, a growing social gaming studio based in Scottsdale, AZ. I have far too much creative energy brewing inside me and I find myself needing many creative outlets. This is why I will also be launching GEMEG Jewelry, a handcrafted jewelry line inspired by Arizona’s desert landscape and it’s native culture. Come back for more on that soon.
Now that my blog is born I call out to all of my fellow blog addicts to make a habit of dropping by daily for a One of Each fix.
