Here are the pictures I promised from around the house. They are all to be considered “before” pictures. Most of the house has been transformed. Well what I mean by that is everything has been painted white. WHITE!!!!
Everything in the kitchen is white now. The walls, cabinets, and once I talk my husband into it, the floors. My new montra for around the house is “White, White, White is right!”

OH, and those are the stairs of DOOM!

Courtney & Danny's Farm

Oh good ole Baraboo, Wisconsin. I moved here with my dad when I was in the 7th grade, and then lived there throughout high school. Soon after moving to Arizona, where I currently reside. Baraboo is one of those small, quaint towns everyone should visit. I mean, it’s home to the Ringling Brothers Circus. How could you pass that up?
Anyhow my trip to Wisconsin was wonderful. I got to spend some much needed time relaxing and reminiscing with my old friends Courtney and Kels. I also got to experience Courtney and her bf Danny’s dairy farm. Which I refer to as “Cow Farm”
Well I must be off, so I’ll just say one last thing before I go… MOO!

My whirlwind jet setting days are over… for a while anyways.
As for my fashion experience in NY, it was fantastic. I attended the Independent Fashion Blogger Conference when I first got in, and I really learned a lot of valuable information about this very new and mysterious blogging world. Luckily I kept my eyes open, as I was running on only 3 hours of “airplane sleep”.
As for the rest of my trip I mainly just wandered around the city with my camera exploring. I was a little disappointed at the lacking amount of photos I had taken, when I got home to look them over. As a blogger something I need to work on is figuring out the balance between experiencing things myself, and capturing the experience for you crazies! ;) In other words, I need to take MORE PHOTOS.
Oh one last thing to share about NY. My experience at Lincoln Center for Fashion Week. DUH. I walked here a few times since it was only a few blocks from my hotel. It was a really weird/special experience walking up to Lincoln Center for the first time. I didn’t know what to expect. I definitely did not expect a hoard of fashion bloggers and paparazzi to start following me around snapping pictures. Of course I secretly couldn’t have been more excited…but I stayed cool. lol I also took my fair share of photos. I really tried to capture the feeling of the whole scene with candid photos. I hope you enjoyed them.
Okay okay, so now what is to come on One of Each Blog you ask? Well let me break it down… ;)
Coming Soon:
-Wisconsin Pictures.
-Still need to post my 1 year anniversary pics from Seattle.
-How I style my hair tutorial
-More DIY projects
As you can see many exciting things in the works. As for now, Happy Monday you fabulous fools. Love you guys <3

Aaron Shoemaker, my wonderful husband. It is your Birthday today, and my job as a wife on this wonderful day is to embarrass you thoroughly! <3

I like to call this series Aaron-Light Tester. My husband Aaron has the delightful task of taking all my photos for my posts. Since I am a crazy control freak, I tend to scout out the location for the photo shoot and make him test the lighting/location/etc for me. As you can tell he isn’t always so thrilled to be a part of this task, but because he is the best husband in the whole wide world, he will always help me out no matter what.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY LOVE!!!

One Year in the Making

One year ago; (from last Sunday) on July, 31st 2010 Aaron and I were married in the quaint town of Red Wing, MN surrounded by friends and family. I would have made this post on the actual anniversary, but we were too busy celebrating in the Pacific Northwest. (Pictures to come)

Once again, thank you for those of you who joined us, the amazing gifts, and all the help we received in making our day so special. <3

I designed our ceremony program, which of course had to have a cactus in the design. I was bringing a little bit or Arizona over to Minnesota. A program was placed upon each chair at the ceremony and doubled as a fan.

The ceremony and the reception took place at the charming Round Barn Farm B&B, of Red Wing. I tried to keep my dress simple to stay with the simple elegance of the whole venue. And yes, my shoes have wings on them.

This wedding really turned into huge craft project for me. I handcrafted my bouquet out of broaches, rings, and earrings.

Here we are getting ready with the help of our groomsman and bridesmaids, filled with excitement and anticipation.

Aaron’s twin sister Amber, who’s as equally as crafty,  made all of the wonderful floral arrangements for the whole wedding party.

At the ceremony. We laughed, we cried, but best of all, we got MARRIED!

WOO HOO! Just showing off the bling. ;)

After the ceremony our guest had time to sip on some country time lemonade, take a picture in our makeshift photo booth, or play a game of croquet.

Hey, it’s dinner time!

Since we didn’t really do anything very traditional at our wedding, we didn’t have a regular cake. Instead we opted for a “Sweet Treats” table, with cookies, apple pie, and cupcakes.

Swoon. I always fall for interiors with clean whites, funky nic-nacs, loads of windows, and unique surprises. I love the pillows hung above the bed, the white tape “rugs” on the floor, and the glass head full of coins. I’ll take it!

Treasure Hunt or Bust

This past weekend my husband and I decided to over head to Old Town Scottsdale to do a little treasure hunt, since we had no luck in Jerome. I normally go into the stores that are full of turquoise and moccasins, but something about the mexican import shop was calling my name…And there it was, the steer skull of my dreams. It still sits in it’s blue plastic bag we brought it home in, until it can be hung. Which probably wont be until we move into our first house. Still very excited about the find, and this shop.
PS Happy FRIDAY! :) What are your weekend plans?

Last month I had the chance to do a photo shoot with the fabulous husband and wife photography duo, We are the Rhoads. I traveled south to Tucson, and meet with the cute couple at the Congress Hotel. It was a fun shoot, really chill and with good folk. I even got to sneak some GEMEG Jewelry pieces in. ;) We walked around Tucson and wandered into some different stores. My fav pit stop was this diner that served tater-tots. It was great. I can’t say I have ever done a photo shoot where I got to consume a huge chocolate milkshake and tater-tots. Mmm.
Check out more of the Rhoads here, or peek their blog here.
