There is no doubt about it, I’m ready for fall. Who isn’t when all the stores are starting to line their racks with the cutest fall trends. Unfortunately for us Arizonians, we don’t get to sport these cozy looks for another few months.

I’m not gonna cry about it, not yet anyways. I decided to test run this lovely ruffled dress I just received from Brooklyn Industries. Which I am in love with btw. It’s soft ruffled top, yet edgy gold spiked button detail is the perfect contrast. We all know I love to mix feminine pieces with some edgy ones. It’s like how I add hot sauce to everything. I’m crazy like that. Anyways I knew this dress was a versatile one and I’m definitely taking it with me season to season.

MY NEW BOOTS ARE HERE!!! I bought these boots specifically for NYFW, but of course I had to try them out. Luckily I did, because there is something sharp around the top of the boots, on the inside, that was rubbing my skin off all day. OUCHIIIEEE!
That is all.
Love you fools!! <333 Amanda

Personal Style

gemeg necklace

I thought I would give a “personal style” post a go. This shoot consisted of me being ready for work, and forcing my husband to quick take pictures of me outside of our apartment. I will say this, the maintenance men where giving me quit the stare! …Because I look SO cool, not because to them I might have looked mildly ridiculous. So I apologies for the not so fabulous pics.
Any-who, this is what I’ve got going on. Thrifted sunglasses, UO top and stockings, H&M pants, Jeffery Campbell heels, Marc Jacobs bag, and the most important of all GEMEG jewelry. Which will be available for purchase very very soon, so don’t get your panties in a buddle.

Who wants to buy me all these wonderful pieces from Nasty Gal? Any takers? I’m really diggin’ the bright pops of color, and the cut out dresses.
If this doesn’t get you’re temperature up, I guess you’ll have to wait until the weather does. Speaking of the weather, can it warm up already so I can start sporting some of these sexalicious spring trends? Thanks in advance Mother Nature.

Sincerely, Amanda

Although this may be an old trend for some, I’m in LOVE with dye dipped hair. I currently have teal in mine, but it’s fast fading. I used manic panic color, which I heard doesn’t last long, but is really vibrant at first. True and true. It also didn’t stain my skin. Not looking like a smurf is always a plus. Some may disagree I suppose.
I’m thinking of adding some violet soon. What do you think?

Thomas Tait is the new black. I love these minimalistic  looks from his S/S11 collection. I also can’t get over how cute Daiane Conterato’s tattoo is! I have been craving a new tattoo lately, and this might have just pushed me over the edge.

Happy Valentine’s Day! I will be celebrating this lovely day by drooling over these shoes. I don’t think I’ve mentioned yet that I have a tinny tiny obsession with SHOES. Really small.

I’ll be wearing the Vivienne Westwood/Melissa Anglomania Heart shoes today, I like to be themed on the holidays. I had original purchased them for my wedding, but I ended up wearing a different pair of Vivienne Westwood’s. I fell in love with her shoes from my modeling days while in Milan. All of her shoes are amazing and so unique.

What shoes will you be strutting around in this Valentine’s day?

Come nail away, Come nail away with me

Have you tried American Apparel’s nail lacquer yet? I had been eying it up the past few times I’d stopped in at AA. I was a bit hesitant to try it out, but since it was only $6, I threw my caution towards the wind and went for it! I bought Passport Blue. I’m trying to recover from only painting my nails teal/turquoise, so navy blue was a good first step for me.
Okay, now for my review…I LOVE IT! I was worried it might be watery or cheap, but it looks amazing and went on really smoothly. It only took one coat and it dried really fast. Love love love! Now I just have to sit still long enough so I don’t chip it.
Get some for yourself!

Welcome to One of Each

Gemeg Jewelry 1

Welcome to One of Each Blog, a daily blog dedicated to fashion, art, cuisine, interior design, jewelry, photography, weddings, music…(deep breath)…and a whole lot more. One of Each is actually derived from the phrase von ove ichie, which I made up, and commonly say in an Italian accent when looking over a restaurant menu. “I’ll have von ove ichie.” I found it to also be perfectly fitting for this blog, but came to the conclusion that one of each would be more easily remembered.

One of Each is run by myself, Amanda Shoemaker, self proclaimed master of crafting, fashion connoisseur, and blog addict. When I’m not perusing blogs for inspiration, I’m busy getting my Art Director nerd on at Broken Bulb Studios, a growing social gaming studio based in Scottsdale, AZ. I have far too much creative energy brewing inside me and I find myself needing many creative outlets. This is why I will also be launching GEMEG Jewelry, a handcrafted jewelry line inspired by Arizona’s desert landscape and it’s native culture. Come back for more on that soon.

Now that my blog is born I call out to all of my fellow blog addicts to make a habit of dropping by daily for a One of Each fix.
