Herrow my peoples! I hope everyone is having a great week so far. I’m currently having a splendid one. Mainly because I am very excited for the shopping event I am co-hosting tomorrow night. (I bloggeled about it yesterday, so if you missed it, check it out here!
Secondly – I’m excited that I’m basically decked out, head-to-tow in Free People today. My lover-ly husband gave me the Alister Crossbody bag this past Valentine’s day. He is a sweet, sweet man and knows all weird ways to my heart.
I can’t say much else is new and/or exciting, so until next time. <3

I feel like my slip dress from my DIY yesterday, needed a little more exposure. So greeting’s from my slip dress to you all!
The thing about a slip dress is that it’s very versatile. Not only can you rock it as an I-don’t-care-cool type of holiday dress (as I have it styled here with my cute little seamless romper) but you can do just the opposite – and wear it as – you guessed it – a slip. So go ahead – get your dang layering on girlfriend! My favorite is pairing it with a cool denim jean and throwing cozy knit over top.
How do you style your slip dresses?

Since being posted up in my office now for weeks working on Shh! Maker Design, I honestly hadn’t notice that the leaves changed colors. Yes Arizona seasons are so weird. Here it is, the beginning of December and today’s high is 82 degrees. (Which is actually really warm – the rest of the week is in the 70’s & 60’s) Although I will most likely not be experiencing this amazing weather we are having because – I gots works to dos! Speaking of which, if there are any designs you would like to see up on the Etsy shop lemme know!
OH PS: These cords are the most soft – best pants ever. Yup!

I love adding subtle classic American touches to my style. Here, the touch being the contrast between my crocheted dress and beat-up cons, not the ginormous flag. Although I suppose sporting an American flag around would also do the trick, but by no means would it be subtle.
Now, not only do I love adding classic American touches to my style, I enjoy adding to my style in general…and by adding to my style, I mean wardrobe…and by adding to my wardrobe, I mean adding more dresses like the one I’m wearing above…And by adding more dresses…actually no, I’m done with that statement and awful run-on sentence. Although I will never be done with wardrobe additions. A girl never is.

…And I’ve changed my hair again. If you follow me on Instagram (@oneofeachblog) it’s not of any surprise to you, since I have been posting lots of pics of the new do there. Amongst other things, like yummy treats I’m been eating lately and vacay pics from last week. I got to do to Disneyland…for the first time! It was pretty magical.
Vacation post to come.

There is no doubt about it, I’m ready for fall. Who isn’t when all the stores are starting to line their racks with the cutest fall trends. Unfortunately for us Arizonians, we don’t get to sport these cozy looks for another few months.
I’m not gonna cry about it, not yet anyways. I decided to test run this lovely ruffled dress I just received from Brooklyn Industries. Which I am in love with btw. It’s soft ruffled top, yet edgy gold spiked button detail is the perfect contrast. We all know I love to mix feminine pieces with some edgy ones. It’s like how I add hot sauce to everything. I’m crazy like that. Anyways I knew this dress was a versatile one and I’m definitely taking it with me season to season.

We have been having really nice weather here in Arizona. Well, It’s still in the 100’s, but there has been wind. WIND people! Here in the valley of the sun, wind and shade are key components to staying cool in the blistering summer months. Also cute cut-out dresses don’t hurt either. 😉

How was everybody’s weekend? I got a little cray cray and decided to leave purple shampoo on the bottom of my hair. Ta da! Lavender ombre! I have to bleach my roots soon anyways, so I thought it would be fun for a week or so. What do you think??
Cute trims on shorts are all over the place right now. I knew I had to think of a clever DIY that was different than just sewing on lace trim to the bottom of your favorite pair of denim shorts and loosing them to lace forever. And I did! So take that brain!
“Now with my Fabulous DIY Velcro Interchangeable Trim you can keep your fave cut-off shorts and Velcro on a cute trim anytime you want to spice them up, without changing them permanently.” (*in crazy infomercial voice.)
Pretty cool huh?!
I decided to get some trims from Jo-Ann’s, but I also thought I could reuse some of those adorable shopping bags you get from Free People.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
* Shorts (Denim or any kind really)
* Velcro (I got 2 packs of Velcro Fabric Fusion Iron On – In black)
STEP 1: With your shorts inside out, grab a piece of the looped side of the Velcro. (That’s the soft side. That way if you have no trim on your shorts it won’t irritate your legs.) Peel the Velcro from the plastic backing.
STEP 2: Place the stick side on to your shorts at the bottom.
STEP 3: Go all the way around shorts on both side. I did 6 on each leg. 3 in the back and 3 in the front.
STEP 4: Measure your trim by pinning it around the bottom of your shorts.
STEP 5: Cut off any extra trim, but leave a small overlap. Repeat for both legs.
STEP 6: Peel plastic backing of hooked side and place onto the trim. Start to remove the pins and place as you go.
STEP 7: Remove all trim. Heat iron, following the directions from the Velcro instructions.
STEP 8: Iron on the looped Velcro to your shorts.
STEP 9: Iron on the hooked Velcro to your trim.
REPEAT! Iron on Velcro to as many different trims you have!

Hiiiyaaa! Karate chop! Thanks for all the love and receiving me back so warmly yesterday. It really made my decision to come back to blogging so very worth it.
Now moving on,
because I’ve said too many nice things about you guys 😉 , I’ve once again stolen this shirt from my hubs closet. He doesn’t wear it anyways so don’t fret. Although I’m not actually allowed in his closet for the time being due to the fact that he has my Christmas present hidden in there. Hopefully it’s not the new black H&M scarf he has hanging in there, because I’m about to steal that. Is it weird that I wear almost half of my husbands clothes? Do any of you raid your mans wardrobe?
Oh did you guys notice that I drank a magic elixir last night that made my hair grow to longer lengths? Or it might be clip-in extensions… either way next week I’ll show you how I did it.
As for now, au revoir until next time.
