Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah it was in the 80’s yesterday. The temps even dropped down into the 70’s during the evening hours and my boiling Arizona blood was a tad bit chilly. It was such a joyous occasion I got the chance to whip out another score from Brooklyn Industries; this amazing oversize houndstooth printed wool sweater. I can’t even stand how it amazingly matches these blue mirrored sunglasses I got earlier this year. Just kidding, I can stand it.
I really had you guys going there for a minute – huh? I really tricked you. Okay-okay if you are forcing me, I kind of LOVE matchy-matching.

When I was in grade school I was also a real creep about matching. I had this every other type rule. It would go like this for example; white Keds, pink socks, white jeans, pink top, white headband. Oh-my-god and if there was a belt in the mix, well that threw everything off. Luckily that isn’t the case these days, my OCD issues have moved on to bigger and better things. Like, the order in which one must clean a home. Let me just tell you, dusting is the last step okay. OKAY! 😉

Until next time.
Love, Amanda

P.S. Above knuckle rings for the win! FTW I say!

There is no doubt about it, I’m ready for fall. Who isn’t when all the stores are starting to line their racks with the cutest fall trends. Unfortunately for us Arizonians, we don’t get to sport these cozy looks for another few months.

I’m not gonna cry about it, not yet anyways. I decided to test run this lovely ruffled dress I just received from Brooklyn Industries. Which I am in love with btw. It’s soft ruffled top, yet edgy gold spiked button detail is the perfect contrast. We all know I love to mix feminine pieces with some edgy ones. It’s like how I add hot sauce to everything. I’m crazy like that. Anyways I knew this dress was a versatile one and I’m definitely taking it with me season to season.

I’m kinda in love with my new kimono-like cape from a cool up-and-coming brand based in NYC, 10th Tribe. (They also have a really cute website and logo to drool over, so you should clicky the linky.)
Anyways I feel like a real bad ass when I wear it because is flows behind me as I walk. It’s like you are on a runway at all times. VOGUE!

I’m on my third Red Bull today, and I have ‘Call Me Maybe’ stuck in my head. I’m changing the lyrics though.
It goes; ‘I just drank you, and I feel crazy, So I’ll have another, Red Bull baby!’

Anyways I am completely obsessed with Vanessa Mooney. I’ve been spying her jewelry everywhere on the inter-webs lately. Now I can just look down and see it any time I want, if I’m need more. When I’m wearing it that is. Which of course I will be.
Never. taking. it. off.
You should definitely go check her out HERE! xo

That’s right people! I said dong! It could have been worse. I could have said SHLONG! Dong was the closest thing to dress that rhymed with long. I think all of this red bull has gone to my brain.

What are you guys doing this week? Any fun plans? Do tell!! I need to plan my trip out to Wisconsin ASAP!

Recently my DIY senses have been tingling. It’s short of the same as spidey senses, except I never spit spiderwebs out of my hands. Hmm, I bet there is a DIY for that. Anyways I had the urge to craft, and so I did. I ran out to the thrift store a bagged these old school CK jeans. Yeah that’s right. Calvin Klein’s baby! Normally I denim DIY with old Levi’s, but finding them was an unsuccessful mission. So with my bad-ass CK’s in hand, I got to work. I was inspired by Marques’ Almeida’s rad shredded denim from the Spring 2012 line.

What do you guys think? Tutorial worthy? Lemme know if you want me to post a DIY tut on how I got shredding.

This last weekend was so much fun. Filled with friends, good times, and no alcohol what-so-ever. Well minus that last part. There might have been a lot of that involved.

I had a crazy dream last night. I had decided to go on a rollerblading adventure by myself. Now in real life going rollerblading is something that actually happens. (So stop laughing.) My husband plays hockey so he’s got mad crazy moves. Me on the other hand, can not go over a curb by myself if my life depended on it. I also have to severely concentrate to do a crossover, demonstrated by sticking my tongue out my mouth. I wonder when if I do that in other times of concentration? Oh lord!
Anyways back to whats important. Me. Alone. Rollerblading in the streets of a pleasant suburban neighborhood. Oh no wait, now a scary back alley. (Why do dreams do that to you? I was quite content in the sunny streets of safety, thank you very much.) Suddenly in my dream I realized how dangerous it is to be rollerblading alone, and I kept questioning myself to the reasons why I decided to take this journey. I kept falling on my knee on the gravel in dark ally. I had to grab onto a bike leaned up against a brick wall to catch my balance.

And that’s when it happened.

I met two gay guys and we all became best friends. At least there was a happy ending.

This is what I wore in Flagstaff last weekend on my road trip with Annie. I’ll have to post more pics soon! We had a lot of fun. There were ghost sightings, a man thought we where prostitutes, and we stayed in a hostel. It really was a crazy two days!

I can’t imagine what trouble we will get into when we are in New York later this week. I’ll keep you posted!

Hello my peoples! As we all know I always tend to keep my looks pretty simple, unlike my hair colors. But I heard this new phrase and I’ve decided it’s my new motto. “Keep it simple stupid.” And that’s that.

So big road trip with weekend with my best bud Annie. We are heading up north to check out the AZ sights. I’m doing a guest post for a pretty amazing blog and I need to get some good shots of what Arizona is all about.
You’ll have to wait until next week to find out more. Muuahahaaa! I like to add some suspense for you guys.

Oh and here is a little ditty I just wrote about my look.

“Red lips, turnin’ ticks.
Girl that booty makes me sick.
Flare jeans, lookin’ mean
Girl you make me wanna scream.”

You’re welcome.

(Obviously I look like a prostitute turning ticks in these photos, and or I’m just a really awesome rhymer.)
