I feel like my slip dress from my DIY yesterday, needed a little more exposure. So greeting’s from my slip dress to you all!
The thing about a slip dress is that it’s very versatile. Not only can you rock it as an I-don’t-care-cool type of holiday dress (as I have it styled here with my cute little seamless romper) but you can do just the opposite – and wear it as – you guessed it – a slip. So go ahead – get your dang layering on girlfriend! My favorite is pairing it with a cool denim jean and throwing cozy knit over top.
How do you style your slip dresses?

Since being posted up in my office now for weeks working on Shh! Maker Design, I honestly hadn’t notice that the leaves changed colors. Yes Arizona seasons are so weird. Here it is, the beginning of December and today’s high is 82 degrees. (Which is actually really warm – the rest of the week is in the 70’s & 60’s) Although I will most likely not be experiencing this amazing weather we are having because – I gots works to dos! Speaking of which, if there are any designs you would like to see up on the Etsy shop lemme know!
OH PS: These cords are the most soft – best pants ever. Yup!

My advice…listen to French music and cut your own bangs.

I finally got some thrifting out of my system last weekend, although it’s never enough. Of course there is that one item you almost purchase, but then for some stupid, STUPID reason you put back. And then it happens. It starts to haunt your ever thought. This can go on for days in some cases. You begin to hear the soft voices of the forgotten. “Amanda, why didn’t you buy me. I’m lonely and oh so cold.” -Orphaned Boots. It’s a sad time, but it will pass. It always does. Sigh.

I think it might be safe to say, that I have switched gears fully over to my Fall wardrobe. I was a busy girl this past weekend, and got all of my sweaters, scarves, and jackets out of storage. Not only that, but It was cool enough outside to get some serious yard work done.
I loped down this enormous dying cactus, and a few other dying soles in the backyard. I think I have that disease where you believe that inanimate objects have feelings. I felt really bad cutting it down, so I tried to save some of it. E.g.my new cactus friend.
In other exciting plant news. I finally got a fiddle leaf fig! Yeah that’s a big accomplishment in my book.

…And I’ve changed my hair again. If you follow me on Instagram (@oneofeachblog) it’s not of any surprise to you, since I have been posting lots of pics of the new do there. Amongst other things, like yummy treats I’m been eating lately and vacay pics from last week. I got to do to Disneyland…for the first time! It was pretty magical.
Vacation post to come.

Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah it was in the 80’s yesterday. The temps even dropped down into the 70’s during the evening hours and my boiling Arizona blood was a tad bit chilly. It was such a joyous occasion I got the chance to whip out another score from Brooklyn Industries; this amazing oversize houndstooth printed wool sweater. I can’t even stand how it amazingly matches these blue mirrored sunglasses I got earlier this year. Just kidding, I can stand it.
I really had you guys going there for a minute – huh? I really tricked you. Okay-okay if you are forcing me, I kind of LOVE matchy-matching.
When I was in grade school I was also a real creep about matching. I had this every other type rule. It would go like this for example; white Keds, pink socks, white jeans, pink top, white headband. Oh-my-god and if there was a belt in the mix, well that threw everything off. Luckily that isn’t the case these days, my OCD issues have moved on to bigger and better things. Like, the order in which one must clean a home. Let me just tell you, dusting is the last step okay. OKAY! ;)
Until next time.
P.S. Above knuckle rings for the win! FTW I say!

There is no doubt about it, I’m ready for fall. Who isn’t when all the stores are starting to line their racks with the cutest fall trends. Unfortunately for us Arizonians, we don’t get to sport these cozy looks for another few months.
I’m not gonna cry about it, not yet anyways. I decided to test run this lovely ruffled dress I just received from Brooklyn Industries. Which I am in love with btw. It’s soft ruffled top, yet edgy gold spiked button detail is the perfect contrast. We all know I love to mix feminine pieces with some edgy ones. It’s like how I add hot sauce to everything. I’m crazy like that. Anyways I knew this dress was a versatile one and I’m definitely taking it with me season to season.
