Tuesday Tuneday: Alexander

Today is Tuesday and that can only mean one thing. It’s Tuneday! So forget your morning coffee – ‘awake YOUR body’ with a little Alexander this morning. You know, Alexander Ebert from Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros. I know you know. You can’t get away from their song “Home”.
Anyways I love this album and I have been listening to it non-stop for the past few days – as one should. It’s a little bit reggae, folk, and pop all mixed into one. Reminds me a little bit of The Beatles, and I swear I hear some Elvis-like melodies in there as well. Weird and awesome all in one!

Tuesday Tuneday Dr Dog

Dr Dog - Be The Void - Tuneday - One of Each Blog

Yup it’s that time again… a day of tuneage. I wanted to learn that Matt Costa song I was tell you guys about, but that will have to be for another Tuneday. This week, Dr Dog. It’s good stuff, especially if you like listening to the oldies. It’s basically new oldies. What a conundrum. The last song “Heart it Races” isn’t off their Be The Void album…but it’s one of my favorites so I had to throw it up there. Enjoy!

Tuneday: Julian Casablancas

phrazes for the young

[audio:05-Ludlow-St..mp3 | titles=Ludlow St. | artists=Julian Casablancas] [audio:01-Out-Of-The-Blue.mp3 | titles=Out Of The Blue | artists=Julian Casablancas] [audio:04-4-Chords-Of-The-Apocalypse.mp3 | titles=4 Chords Of The Apocalypse | artists=Julian Casablancas]

Julian Casablancas: Man, Musician, Former Model, Cat. Well he really isn’t a cat. I just wanted to make sure you were paying attention. So I love Julian Casablancas as many girls do. Although I never had an uber crush on him in high school when The Strokes where my main jam. Anyhow I hope you enjoy these tunes today, on Tuesday Tuneday. I especially like Ludlow St., when he is talking about geting sober, and the music really sounds like a drunk trying to walk. Good one Julian.
Cheers.
